Feeling a little bit stuck in the house, we decided to go out for a little hike near by. This was a fun little hike not too far from our house, with a nice waterfall at the end. The boys had a great time climbing on the rocks and getting close to the falls, feeling the cold spray of water. This is one of those hidden (well, to us anyway) places literally in your backyard that we have just discovered. I had read about it in the paper as an easy family hike, and the following week Dallin's Scout group hiked up there for an overnight campout. We have lived in the area for over 10 years and had never heard about this place. It makes me wonder what else we are missing out on out there.
We also saw a small cave (hole in the rock to me) on the way up.

Cool pix...and cool h20 bottles! Where did you get those?
Tara - We got the water bottles at WalMart, and the lanyards are from a work party. We just hooked the bottles on the lanyard to keep hands free. Nothing fancy.
What a fun family activity! Can't wait to see you all in a week!
So where is this hidden treasure at exactly?
Too funny, Kier just went their with the YM/YW for a combined activity night two weeks ago and then he just went again last week for a Daddy/Daughter date night for Activity Day girls with Savanah.
Cool! I'm curious where this is exactly. We just heard about a little "hidden" lake by our house. But then, we haven't been living here for 10 years. :) But I too wonder what else is out there.
Wow! How fun! Makes me wonder what kind of hidden places around here we are missing out on. Hmmm... Maybe I should plan a day with the kids and be tourists in our own town and find out!
This is just up the street from our house! We live just off of 200 S (Battle Creek drive) in PG and haven't been up to the falls yet. Great pictures! My sister just went up last Sat. and said the falls are really full right now. We really need to go up there!
