Grandma Visnaw's Visit

Since we were not able to see Grandma Visnaw while we were in California last month, she came to us. She got here on her birthday, so we had to welcome her with her favorites - pastries! Kneaders was the first place we thought of for pastries, and they did not disappoint. We ordered just about one of everything and it was fabulous! Here's a closer look at all the delicious treats. Happy Birthday Grandma!
She was able to stay for about 5 days which were spent talking, playing games, talking, eating out, talking, going to movies, and oh, did I mention talking? I love talking with my mother-in-law, Brenda, and realize that two things we like to talk about the most are books and cooking. The Visnaws just LOVE food, especially eating out, so we did our fair share of that while she was here - Rodizio, Tai Drift, Costa Vida, Texas Roadhouse, Terra Mia, Kneaders dessert tray (twice), and a lot of Tomasso's. It was a treat for all of us since eating out doesn't happen all that much for me or for Brenda. We had a great time having her here and hope we didn't spoil her too much.

Wow that tray looks amazing. I miss Aunt Brenda, I think it's probably been about 10 years since I saw her. That's too long.

I had a GREAT time though it was short...I want that close up picture of the tray of pastries as my new screen saver or whatever you call it....
