After being introduced to this fun and inspiring
blog, I decided to actually DO one of her challenges. Seriously, I did NOT edit the area on or around my nightstand at ALL - even though I was very tempted to move the shoes and the highligher.

The whole thing really only took me 15 minutes, even though I had not dusted that nightstand in a long time. I was even inspired to make my bed, which I haven't been real regular about lately. Under the nightstand were about 3 books and a magazine that I had already finished reading AND my son's jr. high yearbook (what?). It was actually kind of comical the things I found in my drawer - a marbles instruction booklet, 2 Krispie Kreme coupons, a Sharpee marker, a nuts and bolts kit to something, a piece of elastic, an arm from a nutcracker Christmas ornament, an eraser, and 4 bottles of various lotions. Now tell me when any of THAT stuff would come in handy in the middle of the night? Well, maybe the marbles games - never know when insomnia might hit.

The question I have is where did you put the stuff? Hopefully not on the kitchen counter, the designated catch all.
Good question - I threw most of it away - not the KK coupons or the nuts and bolts (you'll have to figure that one out).
YAY! Way to go Stephanie! This is a great post, I love to see the before and afters! And also so excited to see that you totally conquered the whole side of your bed in 15 minutes! Rock on girl!

My favorite is the arm from a nutcracker ornament. Niiccce.
Good Job Stephanie. It looks nice!
ok so that's inspiring. We don't really have the typical "junk drawer" in our house that most people have, but if we have anything even close to it, it would have to be my nightstand drawer. After reading your post, my goal is to take the 15 minutes and clean mine out today. And by the way - that iheartorganizing is a very cool site. I had never heard of it, but she has some great stuff on there.
You didn't throw out the Krispy Kreme coupon, did you? I dubs! Tristan-in-my-class brought 4 dozen, yes you read right, 4 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts to school yesterday for a class party. I ate 5 of them myself. Burp! I need more! How can I justify a new size-larger wardrobe unless I keep gaining? (Your bedroom looks nice. Now keep it that way!)
